As many of you know, Redland Garage, Espresso, Deli and Property has been for sale for a number of years.  What many of you do not know is that it came very close to being sold to buyers from outside our community.  While we would have welcomed new members to our community, it is less clear if this ownership would understand, care about our community or even continue the long tradition of services.  Those services at Redland Station are unique in as many ways as the Redland community is unique, and should be protected as gems.

It is with a great sense of pride that as of March 8, 2012 the privilege of protecting this gem is transferred to myself as the new owner of Redland Station.  Please understand that Redland Station is not a change of the brand you know as Redland Garage nor a change of the wonderful staff who provide the services to our community.  In fact, Daniel & Ruthy Bauer continue in there same rolls with Daniel (our trusted friend) continuing to say what does and does not go.

For those of you who do not know me, I am Brainard Brauer.  I attended Redland grade school and have lived in or near Redland my entire life.  Redland has always been my home and to me you are all family.  While you may notice that my last name is close to the Bauer’s, there is no known direct relation more than each of us as the Redland family. With the ongoing support and involvement from Daniel and Ruthie Bauer, the long traditions of serving our special community will continue.  A “pay it forward” spirit begun by Herb Bauer and continued by Daniel and Conrad is our mission.
